LOC RUNG COFFE FARM
LOC RUNG COFFE FARM
In the land of Đưng K’Nớ – Lạc Dương, which has an average elevation of 1500 meters above sea level, there are hills reaching up to 1850 meters, surrounded by the primeval forest of Núi Bà Bidup. At times, this place is called the “Invisible Village” because it is shrouded in thick fog. This is home to hundreds of K’Ho families who mainly rely on forest work and farming for their livelihood. Therefore, the hills covered with coffee plants, with a total area of over 800 hectares, are the main source of income for the people. However, the pressing issues of agriculture, such as “good harvest, bad harvest,” and “high price, low price,” directly affect the lives of the people, leading to hills of coffee now filled with dead trees.
Thus, we have chosen “specialty coffee” as the development direction for the coffee growing area here. By increasing the value of the products, we aim to help the people stabilize and improve their lives by raising the purchase price of coffee directly from the farmers, and providing support in plant care and fertilizers. This approach is to foster a “win-win” development relationship. Ensuring a lush coffee growing area, prosperous people, and increasing the value of coffee from flavor to quality.
Sustainable agriculture and organic practices are the guiding principles in all soil improvement and care activities. Building a multi-layered ecosystem and enhancing soil nutrients create a clean environment for growing clean coffee
Agricultural development is a long journey. We hope to lay a solid foundation for agriculture and pass on the passion and social responsibility to future generations, so they can preserve the land of Đưng K’nớ.
